Lotus Monogatari is a literary series featuring stories set in the same evolving alternative contemporary and near future Earth. Both works in the series, Violet Antaka and Coliseum of Parliament, have distinct visual styles and genres, however they are linked by in-universe history and common themes of one’s journey to purpose and cultivation of self-identity.
Images on this website and Lotus Monogatari materials consist of hand drawn art, photography by the author, custom assets, commissioned art and content, and materials created using modern digital tools. All content text is original, hand crafted content by the author.
Select materials are set in Antaka Brush Display and Antaka Brush Text. These are custom typefaces derived from Noto Serif CJK JP (© 2017–2023 Adobe, SIL Open Font License 1.1) and TeX Gyre Adventor and Chorus (© 2007–2018 B. Jackowski, J. M. Nowacki et al., GUST Font License).
